Good Evening Freshmen Volleyball Parents!
With tonight’s freshmen games complete our pre-season is now over. Our league season begins next Thursday September 14th vs. Saugus. The game will be played at West Ranch.
Below are some updates and notes. I know it is long, but there is a lot of information.
Fuel bags – I have heard great things from the girls about the fuel bags they have had so far. Thanks to everyone who has already volunteered. If you have not signed up you need to do so ASAP. If nobody signs up for the open spots our girls will not have food at those games. Here’s the link: http://www.signupgenius.com/go/508084aacaf2eaafd0-freshmen. The following dates are still available: 9/26, 10/10, 10/12, 10/24
Team Web Site – Did you know that West Ranch Volleyball has it’s own web site? If not, the link is here: http://westranchvolleyball.com The site is the best place to go for the team schedule, the roster of players and anything else you didn’t know you wanted to know.
Fundraisers – As you can tell it costs a lot of money to run the volleyball program. That is why it seems that we are always fundraising. Here are the various fundraisers that we need everyone’s help with.
Silent Auction Baskets – Our team will be responsible for putting together 3 baskets to be auctioned off at our claw out cancer events in October. Our themed baskets are: All About Pets, Arts and Crafts and Halloween. We need someone to volunteer to head this up for our team. The basket volunteer will collect item(s) from each family valued at least $20 to be placed into one of the baskets. Additionally, if anyone has connections to high value items donated aside from the baskets that would be great too!!!
Goodwill – Please collect items that we can donate to goodwill. Ask your friends, neighbors relatives. Many people are more than happy to have someone pick up their old stuff. The trucks will be picking up the donations on Sunday October 8th, so you have a lot of time to collect.
365 Signature Card – This one is the easiest. Your daughter will be given 5 cards. Most were distributed tonight in Bakersfield at the game. Each card is $10. The holder of the card receives 10% off their meal at many restaurants through our valley.
Serve-A-Thon – Continue to get pledges for the serve-a-thon which is scheduled for Wednesday, September 20. I attached another copy of the pledge sheet in case you need it.
Big Sis/Little Sis – There is a another event planned soon. Details will be sent shortly, please look for it – it is supposed to be a surprise for the girls.
If you ever have any questions, please email or text me.
